European Law

One of the main focuses of Kaesler & Kollegen is on consultancy services as to European legal issues.

Nowadays, hardly any area of the law can still be dealt with in isolation from European legal issues. Therefore, we always assist our clients in their projects with our proven expertise in European Community law.

We support our clients regarding the procurement procedures of the European Union and the acquisition of EU funding, with particular regard to EU structural funds. We advise and represent individual participants in large-scale energy and infrastructure projects as well as public bodies and small and medium enterprises. For decades, we have maintained close contacts with European institutions and decision makers.

Another main focus lies in European competition law. Here we advise and represent our clients in state aid and antitrust procedures.

We review national rules and case law as to their compatibility with European Community law and thus disclose a wide range of arguments in the interest of our clients.

Finally, we support our clients, for example, as to

  • the recognition of professional qualifications,
  • residency permits,
  • the recognition of driving licenses,
  • market access of goods and services,
  • social security rights,
  • taxation and
  • establishment as selfemployed or as an employee of companies

in Germany and other Member States of the European Union.
